In our six year run, we are humbled to have raised over $270,000 for some of the most amazing local charities.
Philanthropic Foodies was born from the desire of local food enthusiasts to channel something we love to do (eat and drink) into a vehicle to give back!
In our inaugural year (2012) Philanthropic Foodies donated $20,000 to two deserving local organizations! Funds were split equally between the Samaritan Center and Friends of Dorothy House. In our 2nd year we were thrilled to anounce that number climbed to $30,000 split equally between Friends of Dorothy House and On Point for College! In our 3rd year we divided nearly $45,000 amongst Friends of Dorothy House, Signature Music & CancerConnects. And the climb continued in our 4th year where we raised an incredible $54,000 for Friends of Dorothy House, Stupid Dumb Breast Cancer (a fund of CancerConnects) and The First Tee of Syracuse. In total, $148,000 has been donated to six incredible, local organizations. In honor of our 5th event, we invited all of past charitable honorees back for an amazing fundraising celebration, bringing our total to over $200,000 for some of the most amazing local charities. In year 6, I'm pleased to announce that we once again have surpassed the $50,000 mark bringing our total to over $250,000. A contribution of this size means so much to these organizations who do incredible work in this community with very limited resources.
